Human Trafficking in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq
SEED conducted an assessment on trafficking issues in Kurdistan to gain better understanding of the forms and rates of human trafficking. Through its research, SEED identifies the forms of human trafficking in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), potential victims of human trafficking, route of human trafficking in the region, and groups that are at most risk of being trafficked. Our study highlights the emergency needs, and the ongoing needs of the victims, and detailed recommendations for combating human trafficking and providing better services for victims of human trafficking for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), donors, and other civil society organizations.
